Team 1912 Combustion is offering two half-day camps June 13-17 2022. These are two separate camps and students may sign up for one or both camps:
  • Astro Camp - 9 AM - 12 PM June 13-17.
  • SeaPerch underwater robotics camp - 1:00-4:00 PM June 13-17.
Cost is $135 for each camp ($115 each for siblings).

Astro Camp:

In partnership with the NASA Stennis Space Center Education Office, Team Combustion members are presenting an Astro Camp summer science camp at Northshore High School in Slidell. Astro Camp provides opportunities for learners to engage in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) educational activities that capitalize on NASA’s Astro Camp content and methodology, and exposes the next generation of explorers to STEM career possibilities. The camp will include a demonstration of the Team Combustion most recent competition robot, Zuko. The camp will be held in the classrooms of Northshore High School, and staffed by Team Combustion mentors and students. Campers will be dropped off and picked up outside the 800 Hall (we will have signs posted).
  • Dates: June 13-17, 2022
  • Times: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
  • Activities: 15 hours of STEM projects from NASA
  • Age groups: 9-13 (entering grades 4-8)
  • Cost: $135 per camper or $115 per camper for 2 or more siblings

SeaPerch Camp:

Team Combustion members are presenting a SeaPerch Camp summer science camp at Northshore High School in Slidell. The SeaPerch is small underwater remotely operated vehicle (ROV). Students will work in teams to design and build a SeaPerch to compete at the end of the week to performing challenges in a small pool.
  • Dates: June 13-17, 2022
  • Times: 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
  • Activities: 15 hours of SeaPerch design, build, test, and demonstration
  • Age groups: 9-13 (entering grades 4-8)
  • Cost: $135 per camper or $115 per camper for 2 or more siblings
